Wrist and Hand Pain

Wrist and hand pain affects people of all ages.

Wrist and hand injuries are very common from trauma, ageing and overuse. At the clinic, we are pleased to provide specialist hand services by The Hand Physio Clinic.
What is hand therapy?
Hand Therapy (noun): Hand therapy is the art and science of rehabilitation of the upper limb, which inclues the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Using specialised skills in assessment, planning and treatment, hand therapists provide therapeutic intervention to prevent dysfunction, restore function or reverse the progression of upper limb pathologies.

The Hand Physio Clinic services are available by appointment. Our vision at The Hand Physio Clinic is that any patient that walks through our doors will receive the best possible care and treatment.

This vision is achieved in three simple steps:

1. diagnose your condition

2. educate and support you through your treatment

3. ensure that you recover to the best of your ability

We understand that the road to recovery can be tough, however our certified hand therapist will support you through the journey and make your recovery their top priority.

If you require any specific information, please call on 9744 2201 and ask for Susan Tran, Certified Hand physiotherapist.

Susan graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 2008. She started her career at Liverpool hospital as a first year graduate. Here she rotated around different specialties until she had the opportunity to specialize in Hand Therapy and she loved it. She has since worked in both private hospitals and practices in Sydney and the United Kingdom. This has allowed her to further develop her skills ranging from treating acute, traumatic injuries to more chronic hand and wrist conditions.

Susan became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2014 and is an associate member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association.

She enjoys the “hands-on” nature of hand therapy, making splints and other gadgets. But also the big improvements she is able to gain with hand therapy interventions.

In her spare time, Susan enjoys travelling and snowboarding.
